Goodbye Freedoms

If Obama gets elected, combined with a super majority of Democrats in both the house and the senate, you may see a return of the Fairness Doctrine. Also here

That would REQUIRE.....Let me say that again. REQUIRE by federal mandate that equal time be given to shows such as Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, and Glenn Beck, to give equal time to opposing views. Never mind that there is NBC, CBS, New York Times, Air America, and NPR. There is even talk about pushing to to web-sites as well.

This is basically a ploy to put conservative voices out of business. It would stifle free speech and would allow the liberals in government to act untouched and unchecked.

Never mind allowing the free market to decide what is on the radio. Big brother knows what is best for you.

Mark my words, America as we knew it and read about it in the history books is dead. Every year we celebrate "freedom" on July 4th and honor our founding fathers. But those honors are hallow. The powers that be don't hold to those tenants of freedom and limited government.

If Barry Obama gets elected, it will only grow and get worse. America if you elect this you will put freedom on its deathbed, if not kill it outright.

WAKE UP!!!!!!

Dance Party

I find this frightening. A group of libertarians go to the Thomas Jefferson Memorial to celebrate his party. They don headphones and dance. They dance to celebrate liberty, and the forefather who was the strongest supporter of liberty and limited government.

Then the government comes and breaks it up, and arrests one of them

I see all these shows like Cops and Dumbest criminals and sometimes I like to see the cops lose. Call me weird.

I saw one last night where a police officer pulled over a truck because the passenger didn’t have a seat belt on. He went up to the car and asked for the driver’s license. The driver asked why and the cop responded “because I said so”, the driver then refused to comply until he was told why he was detained, the cop then dragged the driver out of the car and started to push the guy around, trying to handcuff him.

The passenger came out and then all Hell broke lose. I can’t help but think that maybe the whole thing would have been averted if the cop told the guy why he was detained.

But in this country we blindly follow authority, allowing seat belt stops or sobriety checkpoints.

It frightens me how much we Cow Tow to authority anymore, and allow those in authority to commit acts of destroying our liberties.

Ethanol Bullshit

Inflation has risen at it's highest rate in 17 years. I blame George Bush and Congress 100% for it.

Do you want to know why inflation has been so high lately? It is mainly because of a sharp rise in the costs of food.

WASHINGTON - Higher costs for energy and food last year pushed inflation up by the largest amount in 17 years, even though prices generally remained tame outside of those two areas.

Consumer prices rose by 4.1 percent for all of 2007, up sharply from a 2.5 percent increase in 2006, with consumers especially feeling the pain when they filled up their gas tanks or shopped for groceries. Prices for both energy and food shot up by the largest amount since 1990.

For December, the Consumer Price Index rose by 0.3 percent, down from 0.8 percent in November, as food costs were flat for the month and energy prices rose by 0.9 percent after an even bigger 5.7 percent jump in November.

So basically if it wasn't for food and energy, inflation would be low.

The reason food in particular is so high is because of the crazy and soon to be crazier insistence that we use ethanol from corn.

So although the government may save almost $7 Billion consumers will most likely end up paying that and more in increased costs for all those 2,500 corn related products.

That brings us back to the question of the energy it takes to produce ethanol. One of the biggest energy components of producing Corn is nitrogen fertilizer and one of the biggest components of Nitrogen fertilizer is natural gas. Plus it requires a great deal of electricity to actually make the ethanol. Back in the 1970's it actually took more energy to grow and refine the ethanol than you got from it . Today due to increases in efficiency that is no longer the case.

So ethanol is a complex proposition that uses a significant amount of energy to produce and could have a major impact on the price of a wide variety of other products competing for the corn.

This was signed into law by President Bush and Congress. It is only going to get worse as Ethanol requirements increase, so will the price of corn and subsequently costs of other food items.

Bush really has let down the conservative movement on this one. It is sad. I was once a Bush supporter, now I have to think that he will go down in history as one of the worst Presidents in American History.

Pepperoni Roll

Government is stupid, and the civil servants who work for government are the lowest end of the brain power that humans can put out and still be considered not retarded.

A good example is how Pepperoni Rolls are illegal in some states.

Pepperoni rolls are simply baked yeast rolls with pepperoni baked right in. Stromboli, Calzones are still legal, just rolls with Pepperoni.

Go figure.
