Wal Mart is losing touch

I have long been losing faith in Wal Mart. I am getting disgusted with Wal Mart, and it's business model.

I used to love Wal Mart. As someone who lives in rural America it was great. I could buy important items for my family. I loved their sporting goods and hunting section, my wife loved their craft section. She specifically liked their fabric section and shopped their for her DMC cross stitching floss.

Now those sections that Wal Mart Mwas known for are gone.

In places like Seguin, a South Texas town of about 25,000 and a shopping hub for surrounding communities, Wal-Mart is the only game in town for fabric, seam binding, dress patterns, lace and other sewing supplies.

Independent stores closed down when they couldn't compete with Wal-Mart, and if Wal-Mart follows suit, shoppers would be forced to drive 30 to 60 miles to San Antonio or other towns for sewing needs.

We have 3 Wal Mats within 15 minutes driving distance. None of them carry the craft supplies my wife needs. So if she needs a simple .60 cent thing of floss she now has to drive 90 miles round trip.

Instead of catering to the needs of the community and to their shoppers, they do stuff like this.

And we still shop there because they ARE the only game in town.
