It's no surprise that school officials and our President are against free speech when it doesn't suit them.
Look at the case of Bong Hits for Jesus.
Quick synopsis:
1. A kid unfurls a banner saying Bong Hits 4 Jesus
2. Principal destroys banner.
3. Supreme Court to hear 1st Amendmet case.
What will be interesting to see is how this fares. The high court has already decided in earlier cases that students did have the right to protest the Vietnam war by wearing black arm bands.
But this case is different because it is about drugs. You already know of the erosion of civil liberties that have taken place because of the "war on drugs".
