I'm just a gun, a gun on capital hill

It appears that it is now legal to own a gun in the District of Columbia. A federal appeals court says so.

WASHINGTON -- A federal appeals court overturned the District of Columbia's long-standing handgun ban Friday, rejecting the city's argument that the Second Amendment right to bear arms applied only to militias.

In a 2-1 decision, the judges held that the activities protected by the Second Amendment "are not limited to militia service, nor is an individual's enjoyment of the right contingent" on enrollment in a militia.

Of course, the liberal elite government in DC and the liberal judges don't think it's a good idea. Actually by reading what they said, I don't think they believe in anything in the constitution should stand up.

Judge Karen Henderson dissented, writing that the Second Amendment does not apply to the District of Columbia because it is not a state.

WHAT??? Hold the presses. So I guess if the 2nd Amendment doesn't apply, then none of them do?

Women and blacks can't vote? Freedom of the press doesn't apply to the Washington Post? The mayor should be arrested, he's a runaway slave.

Come on, get a clue your Dishonor.

I was born and raised in DC. What was wonderful about this law was how sharply the murder rate increased once it went into effect.
When will the Liberals learn that Gun Control is the last thing you want to put in place in a city in which people are killing each other with guns.
