Channel 97 Pittsburgh is now BOB 96.9

When traveling to Pittsburgh to visit in-laws I always enjoyed listening to 96.9 WRRK "Channel 97". One of the best classic rock stations I ever heard. I was dismayed though to find today that "Channel 97" is not BOB FM. I heard it, it is perhaps the biggest pansy suck ass music station I've ever heard.

I know what is going to happen. In about 6 months to a year they will undergo another format change and become crappy smooth jazz or something. Not that I hate smooth hits or jazz, but when a rockin station becomes crappy it's like seeing your favorite movie star or football player become an overweight has been.

Sad indeed.

Long live Satellite Radio and SIRIUS!!

There is a different Bob FM in my area too. Their format sounds the same as yours. Their commercials on TV are lame as well. "Bob has arrived in your town. Bob likes all types of music, blah, blah."

Long Live Sirius. 43 cents a day is not a lot for commercial free songs on 60 channels of music. FM = free radio, as long as you listen to 900 commercials a day and incessant chatter and news updates.
