Defend the Defenders: Ilario Pantano

I thought our soldier's jobs are to kill terrorists. I thought war was hell, and that the object was not to die for your country, but to make the other SOB die for his?

Tell the Marines.

A Marine by the name of Ilario Pantano is being tried for premeditated murder for killing a pair of terrorists.

RALEIGH, N.C. — A Marine has been charged with a military count of premeditated murder for shooting two Iraqis during a search for an enemy hide-out, and faces a possible death sentence if found guilty, his lawyer said Thursday.

Second Lt. Ilario G. Pantano, 33, is accused of "numerous violations" of the Uniform Code of Military Justice, the Marine Corps said.

Michelle Malkin discusses it as does Jack Lewis

What kind of world is this?

I urge you to read these stories and get the word out. The lives of our soldiers are at stake.

I recently re-read accounts of congressional medal recipients, and by todays standards most of them could be brought up on charges. One soldier shot dead an enemy prisoner after he threw a grenade at him,and held a pistol to the head of an enemy major and told him he would kill him if he did'nt do as told.As far as Lt.pantano...well....I don't know,I wasen't there,I did'nt have to be,because the el tee was.
