In a review of Fat Michael Moore's documentary lies, uber-left winger Roger Ebert says:
Although Moore's narration ranges from outrage to sarcasm, the most devastating passage in the film speaks for itself. That's when Bush, who was reading My Pet Goat to a classroom of Florida children, is notified of the second attack on the World Trade Center, and yet lingers with the kids for almost seven minutes before finally leaving the room. His inexplicable paralysis wasn't underlined in news reports at the time, and only Moore thought to contact the teacher in that schoolroom -- who, as it turned out, had made her own video of the visit. The expression on Bush's face as he sits there is odd indeed.
What the hell was Bush supposed to do, run out of the room screaming "Children, you're all going to die!! RUN!!! Death is upon us!!!!!"
Part of any President's job is to console the country, give comfort in bad times, and most importantly don't let them see you sweat.
It would have been inappropriate in the minutes right after learning of the 9/11 attacks to panic or even say anything in front of young children who were too young to comprehend what the implication of that day meant. Giving a sense of normalcy was paramount in that time. Now if he was taking to a bunch of senators, donors, or military people it would have been different.
If Bush would have said something in front of the children these same socialist America Haters like Michael Moore would have chastized him for scaring the children.
So I suggest Fatso and Used-to-be fatso shut up.
