I saw ABC news last night, and it featured two soldiers who were injured in Iraq. One had his leg amputated, and the other had numerous surgeries to reconstruct his jaw and face after most of it was shattered.
They both said after their stay in the VA was over, they wanted to return to Iraq and to their units. They said the job there is too important.
That is getting lost right now in this politicizing of the war. We are doing the right thing, and the brave men and women deserve some thanks, and we should remember the ones who died to protect our right to disagree, and hate each other like it appears we do now.
