Open the Windows

I really hate Windows. In my work I am the lone Mac in the world of Windows. I was able to get a Mac in my work because when I started my job I initially had to purchase my own computer for various accounting irregularities (the weirdness of working for a state owned university).

I bought a Mac because, well, Windows sucks. And I have no trouble using my OS X in an XP world. Every single file sent to me by my co-workers I can read, and I even impress them with my .mac on-line disk drive and .mac Calendar they can read on-line.

I do Have some trouble, however, but it's not my fault. I have had countless problems when I sent a basic file to them and they couldn't read it.

I've sent Jpegs to people; Some people couldn't read them. I've used the integrated ability to save things in PDF to send PDFs; Some people couldn't read them either. Even some of the Doc files I saved in MS Word gave people fits unless I saved it in Rich Text Format. I've even sent them zipped files using my Stuffit program, and they couldn't read a .zip file. What the heck is with that?

That's not even counting all the virus emails I've been receiving from theze bozos who don't understand the concept of not opening attached files from people they don't know.

It's not like I'm saving stuff in AppleWorks format or sending them a GarageBand file. These are basic computer files that they should read.

I think it's because Windows sucks.

Well, I'd say that's a fairly reasonable explanation. Windows *does* suck. If only macs were just a bit less expensive.... Hmph. Maybe I should start using Linux. XD

The MAC is to expensive line is tired old BS. If you took the performance numbers of a top-of-the-line G5 (the dual 2 gig model) in its base configuration - and configured a PC to match its performance - the PC would be more expensive.

Macs are a little expensive when compared to an assemble-it-yourself box built by someone who knows exactly which parts to use. They are not expensive compared to a brand-name PC of equivalent build quality - if you can find such a thing.

MacOS X is a very nice operating system too.

If I had to choose a single system, it would be a Mac. But I find that having a Linux box and a Windows box works better for me.
