This makes me sick(not the grandmother thing). I wrote this because I see dogs all the time in my local newspaper in the pet of the week section. They feature dogs and cats all the time. Most of them are up for adoption because their owners moved and "couldn't take them with them". What the hell. You don't leave family behind.
Shitheads.
I've done it twice. Both times the choice was either find the dog a good home before we left the country, or subject a dog we loved to a 3-6 month quarantine. It was kinder to say goodbye.

I doubt that many people from Pottsville are moving overseas. I also know that a lot of studetns get dogs while in college and then move, but leave fido behind.
