Stupid Liberal of the Week

Today in "Identifying Common Liberals 101" I want to show you what angry lefties look like. Lefties are often young, urban, trendy latte drinking shit throwers.

For lack of good ideas, they make up for it in shrillness and rude, innane comments.

Take Tekwh0re's Blog This totally wacked out person is a prime example of a pissed off liberal.

They drink a lot of wine, and talk about poetry and other bullshit.

Though they claim to love America and the Constitution, they are all about bad mouthing the NRA. The love to point out the fact that GW Bush didn't get the most votes, again ignoring the Electoral College (which is in the Constitution).

>>Lefties are often young, urban, trendy latte drinking shit throwers.

I thought they were old smelly hippies. I wish you people would get your steroetypes straight and stick to them. It gets confusing to us.

PS - I hate latte and love social justice. What does that make me?

>>For lack of good ideas, they make up for it in shrillness and rude, innane comments.

Yes, again, you are right. How I wish I was as kind and articulate as Bill O'Reilly. Who was he yelling "Shut up!" at last night again?

>>They drink a lot of wine, and talk about poetry and other bullshit.

As opposed to sterotyping an entire polticial belief system and smoking cigars and laughing at poor people. Oh, that's right, only you get to stereotype.

>>Though they claim to love America and the Constitution, they are all about bad mouthing the NRA.

I didn't know the NRA was in the Constitution... let me check again... Hm... Nope, I have looked all through my copy of the Constitution and nowhere does it say the NRA can't be mocked, made fun of or opposed. In fact, the amendment right before the Second claims we can do that all we want.

The funny thing is, you can only find ONE stupid liberal every week and we can find ten stpuid conservatives on a weekly basis at DemocraticUnderground. Time for you to step it up a bit. OH, and we find the Big Name conservitives being stupid...you can only find bloggers.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I'll go back to drinking latte, throwing shit and loving my freedom to do so, while laughing at people who don't realize the rest of their movement thinks they are worker drones good for being consumers, debt carriers and shoppers at the compnay store. We'll be over here EVOLVING.

It was meant to be tounge in cheek. A parody, fun, all that stuff.

Oh, that's right. Democrats are joyless, souless, spineless genuflecters to tyrants and world bodies who love to call George Bush "Hitler" while complaining about toning down the politics of personal destruction.

Go abort a baby or something.

I can think of at least 7 stupid big name liberals right off the top of my head. And that's not including Hollywood.

We'll be over here EVOLVING.

You do that. Come back once you get those opposable thumbs working.

Rule one of a parody:

Be funny.

For examples, see Bill Hicks, George Carlin, Johnny Carson, Mel Brooks, Lenny Bruce, Harvey Kurtzman, the original cast of Saturday Night Live, and Robert Anton Wilson. (all liberals, by the way)

For antonyms, see this blog. Thank you.

BTW, as with Rush Limbaugh, Michael Savage and other Conservatives, you brought up Hitler first. Rule #2 of parody, Hitler is only funny if Mel Brooks has him singing songs in a Boradway musical. Is it at all possible to have a discussion without tossing Hitler around like a big inflatable beach ball at a shitty concert?

I'll go back to reading now. Y'all have fun working for the man and making Multinationals rich. B-bye!

I am self employed. And if I wasn't my having a job and working for "the man" is what makes society work, and our nation prosper.

Maybe if you had a job instead of counting your food stamps, or living on a endowment for the arts grant, you would know that prosperity and economic growth don't come by living off the backs of others, it takes hard work on your part, something you appear to despise.

I'm sure Tom could find ten stupid liberals a day if he could afford the anti-nausea medicine...

For example, anyone on Democratic Underground...

George Carlin says he's not a liberal, he just hates America.

Robert Anton Wilson is funny - but he's an anarchist, not a liberal.

I'd like to say this offends me, but it doesn't rise to quite that level.

Given the nature of the blog you are lambasting (fairly level headed, not shrill, nor yet actually saying the things you've inferred) all this really does is

1: Preach to a stereotype on, "liberals" which is not enlightening to anyone, as those who agree need no real re-inforcement, and those who are, "liberals" will either know it for falsity, or treat it as polemic.

2: Opens you to discredit when those who have an open mind (on either side of the aisle) look at the source you criticise and see it is not as painted.

If the attempt was humor, well such taunts as, "Oh, that's right. Democrats are joyless, souless, spineless genuflecters to tyrants and world bodies who love to call George Bush "Hitler" while complaining about toning down the politics of personal destruction.

Go abort a baby or something."

Are not conducive to anyone thinking you either civil, or clever.

As for the logical flaw in this, "Though they claim to love America and the Constitution, they are all about bad mouthing the NRA."

There is nothing which requires one to like, much less support, any interest group.

A similar (and just as baseless) charge can be leveled at anyone who claims to love America and hate the ACLU (for the record I have donated to both the NRA and the ACLU, I wish the one were more staunch in its defense of the first ammendment and the other moreso in its treatment of the Second, but I digress).

If you want to attack a group, reasoned argument, rather than ranting slogans, is more likely to convince the middle, which is the only group anyone on the edges is going to sway.
